Idle Master still runs fine for me. What issues are you having?
it’s because, (i don’t know if it ever got fixed), but someone found out, that once the initial 2hour “card activation” period was up, you could open+close game in rapid succession with X intervals, and then force card drops faster that way, than waiting the regular Xminute droprate per card post first 2hour mark.
this however was not something that was “meant” to be, (so it was remarked on ASF guides to not do it), and ASF’s autosetup was even set to not be able to do it since it was deemed an exploit/abuse -which could then as an infraction potentially have had “account consequences”
but could apparently be done with “any” idler, even SAM
usually there should be nothing wrong with idling X games together for the initial 2 hour unlock, and then solo afterwards, it’s just, sorta, good measure to not idle more than those X(can’t rem the amount specifically 20+ or something i think it was then) at a time -“just in case”, from however many the api allowed
It tells me that there are no games to idle, no matter how many times I log in and out and how many times I refresh, etc.
It constantly gives me the same message, something along the lines of “Idling complete.” or something like that, I can’t remember now…
The total simultaneous number is 32 I believe.
That happened to me once. I fully signed out, restarted Steam and then used the remember me tick box on the Idle Master sign in and it resumed working fine.
I really tried, I tried for 3 days, because I didn’t want to go through the hassles of setting up ACF.
–Not sure if it’s because my account is newer? Sine I seem to have the newest Steam account compared to almost everyone I know.
That was when I looked around for other options, and Idle Daddy came into view. My favorite part is that when my computer is off at night, I am still idling with an old cell phone…
Are you using the portable version of Idle Master?
Like on mobile? I didn’t know there is one, or I am not sure what other portable version there is.
Just using Idle Daddy now.
By the way, Idle Daddy can move you quickly through the Summer/Winter sale discovery queues to get those drops automatically too. Very convenient.
Will not log in. Enter all log in info and authenticator. Will not remember me or go any further.
Edit - Singleboostr works fine, but only does one at a time and hard to re-arrange games
Fired up and as of this moment working fine.
V1.4.1.0
I’m thinking it might be all the new privacy setting changes
Just make your profile public?
y my idle master also just says “idling complete” though i have several games i still need to get drops for…
nah u can idle those games fine; what u shouldn’t do is play any of those games while u have idle master running, just to be safe
not just that, you shouldn’t play/connect to any vac game/server while you are idling/“in” another vac game/server
-only 1 “vac server” at a time to be safe, since apparently vac can go apesht if you supposedly try to run say csgo+tf2, or such, etc., “at the same time”
so when regarding vac games, either you are idling or playing, but never both at the same time
My idler is on a different system, see above (computer=Steam, phone=idler). So I don’t have that issue. I have to physically turn off my idler to play a game, and after I turn off my game, I turn the idler back on.
I’ve been using CardIdle Remastered, because I couldn’t be troubled to set up Archi Steam Farm. I’m going to have to check out Idle Daddy, though - I’m looking for an alternative, myself.
So long as you’re not idling in an app when you try to play a game that has VAC security on it, you should be fine. Just don’t set up the idler to run multiple games at once (just do them in sequence) and everything should be groovy. FWIW, when I’m farming I usually turn off the idler when I go to play games, and then kick it back on before I go to bed for the night.
So it is against the rules, but as long as you’re not obnoxious about it, they look the other way?
ok, well i just did this and the first time it didn’t actually sign me in and nothing happened and then i tried again and now my idle master started working correctly
not directly against the rules, it’s more of a “grey area”, thus depending on “what/how” you use it
just don’t be “that guy” that run a 1000 bots at the same time off the same system
like said, “regular joes”, running 1 idler, 1 account, 1 system are fine, none of those ever got in trouble
the VAC thingy, is more directly specific to vac and how it operates, not steams TOS
wouldn’t matter if you where idling or not, connecting to multiple diff vac servers/games at the same time just sometimes don’t exactly mix well because of how vac acts, not so much to do with “idling” specifically
dude, i don’t think u connect to any servers while u idle a game cuz the game isn’t even running for real; i think the most is that it’s like yr sitting in the menus, which wouldn’t connect u to any servers either
