Thanks very much for your time, @Four. The goal is to make this as easy on everyone as possible. It seems I’ll have to refine the entry process or make special notes for mobile users in the upcoming rounds.
How to enter
Copy and paste these fifteen (15) tickets into your post - or use emoji
Copy and paste this numbered list into your post
This is the mobile result after doing as you requested and copying from mobile.
Phone is Android and for the purpose of this test I used the Chrome browser, the most popular mobile choice.
I fail to see the problem others are having, perhaps a different browser.
@Four what browser are you using and did you do exactly as ohko requested? Cheers.
Thanks for doing this @coralinecastell. It also worked just fine for me using Safari Mobile on iOS
I use the Dolphin web browser for Android. Trying to grab just the ticket yields a .png while grabbing some text before and after gives:
I appreciate everyone helping me narrow down the issues, @Pylinaer. To my knowledge, it’s impossible to copy multiple images to the clipboard simultaneously. People pasting PNGs of the ticket copied a single ticket; I’m 99.99% sure on that.
I think that’s ok and just an artifact of how your browser is selecting that block of content. If you press copy, it should copy the correct tickets to your clipboard. Even if it doesn’t look right, press copy anyway and attempt to paste the result. Let us know the result, if you could be so kind
Just wanted to thank @ohko for another Awesome giveaway.
P.S. No, I am not entering.
@delenn13 haha, I was actually disappointed there was only a single “variety” of ticket emoji. I was really hoping for a golden ticket emoji, that I could make it somehow behave differently in the raffle. Something like everyone gets ten (10) standard tickets and one (1) golden ticket…
The emoji didn’t exist so I let the idea go for now
PS: I love love love Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (1971). Gene Wilder is one of my favourite actors of all time.
No I lied and didn’t do anything @ohko said, I made that up because I have a secret agenda against mobile phones and I’m generally not to be trusted. Anybody who pasted a PNG in this thread is an alt of me and/or paid by me to cause negative uproar against Android, real people would not have issues with this at all.
I used Samsung Browser which is based on Chromium and has 1.000.000.000 installs on Google Play, I hope that’s mainstream enough
Yes that indeed works
what about ?
What a lovely idea! Rather new to this community, and haven’t engaged a great deal yet, though it seems to me to be filled with lovely, amusing, and generous people :3
Good luck to all, and many thanks for the Giveaway @ohko
Also, Gene Wilder! <3
I’m happy we were able to get to the bottom of it. As a bonus, you know you can copy things like that now too
I did see but it’s rather hard to see, especially on a white background. To me, it’s perceived as a lesser ticket, not a greater one. And I particularly like the “pop” of so I decided to go with that. Maybe another theme could be used that use different emoji altogether. Still I don’t know what the “greater” ticket would do, so I’d have to come up with that entry mechanic as well…
A warn welcome! And thanks for entering our raffle
EDIT: A warm welcome, ahh!! some typos are worse than others!
“warn” welcome? I suppose I better behave, if I’m being warned already
Thank you very much though, very kind.
Thanks for the Raffel!
Oh I just went with the passive aggressive theme Coraline likes to hit me with, so I figured it’s appropriate to return the favor
You could use it as the lesser ticket and make the red one the super duper one
Sorry @Four, I don’t mean to stick my nose between you. I’m pretty new here so I’m not really accustomed to the familiar banter of some users. From an outsiders perspective, I would point out that these things can be very hard to read. Other community members and new users might read the post and get the sense of a hostile environment and be less inclined to participate in discussion or offer help in fear they open themselves to attacks or ridicule.
I trust you have a healthy relationship with others here, even if sarcasm is at play. I’m only asking you to consider the greater audience
