Minesweeper Pro - free on Android

I’ve just played it and I gotta say: in thirty years it hasn’t aged a bit. It still brings the exact same feeling of why would anyone play this shit!?

Well, apparently a whole lot of people does, and they’re loving it.

I spent many fun hours on Minesweeper back in the Win 3.1 days - it did get repetitive once you mastered it and the Russian Roulette initial clicks could get frustrating with luck as bad as mine but it was slim pickings with games back in those days. At the end of the day, it’s a cool concept and holds a nostalgic place in my gaming history. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, those made up the rest of the “slim pickings”. :grinning:
I don’t think 3D Pinball accompanied Win 3.1 though - the Space Cadet table was an add-on pack for Win 95. Played a fair bit of that too but seeing the ball drain straight down the middle without being able to do anything to stop it after putting in the hard work to progress a few ranks used to make me ragequit.
Then again, MSDOS didn’t come with any ganes, so I suppose Win 3.1 was a step up for gamers.

The original Doom that came out in 1993 was an MS-DOS game, among many others. :eyes:

EDIT: Unless you’re talking about “free” games that came “with” an O/S.

Any one interested in getting the old Windows games(including Minesweeper Pro) can read this post and, like usual, it got hijacked.

Yes, I was referring to the free games “bundled” with OSes. There were tons of paid games for DOS.

Downloaded that a couple of years ago thinking it would be a nostalgic trip to play those again but my backlog has not allowed me to look at it since. :frowning:
