I get the joke, but I do feel the need to defend the essay test. . .
The point isn’t to see you write an ‘essay’ with the same level of polish and finesse that you would be expected to write in an assignment, but rather to see you express the core concepts and knowledge that the course has instilled in you in a cohesive argument.
