Speaking of me I have PS4 controller for fighting games and Logitech F710 used for most other stuff. PS4 pad is really good for fighting games and most tourneys around here are using PS4s. F710 on the other hand… is just OK. I really liked earlier Logitech models but F710 feels a bit too heavy, not to mention that it’s wireless only + a bit on the bulky and heavy side. But I got it as a present so can’t complain 
Ever since the 360 controller became fully supported with Windows 7 and 10, that’s been my go-to for game pad-base playing. Sure, the D-Pad is garbage for playing anything that requires precise directional input, but 99.999% of the time it just flat out works with modern games and I don’t have to worry about reconfiguring anything. I do have a Steam Controller - bought it on sale a few years back - but every time I tried getting used to it, it just doesn’t feel right. It’s like the positioning of the buttons in relation to the touchpads and the stick are off by just that much, and my muscle memory rebels against the years of 360-controller training. I’ll still keep the Steam controller around, but if and when my 360 pad gives up the ghost, I’ll probably just go out and get a wired XBOne controller.

I have been too lazy to link up my DualShock 4 from my PS4, but I think that might be good for some games… My favorite right now is the XBox One wired…
Are you sure it’s exactly the same? They updated that model. Or maybe we play different games. I have to use x360ce for many games. And games that do support it often map button 1 as if it’s in the physical location of button 2. It gets really confusing when i’m mapping my own controls.
I just use a wireless Bluetooth xbox one controller, I only got it so I can play Rocket Leauge on my pc

I’ve considered myself a Playstation gamer since the original launched, and as a result the Dual Shock is my go to form factor. I picked up the OG Xbox several years after it’s launch (and demise) and whilst I had no issues with the pad, the asymmetric stick placement doesn’t suit my preference…however, when I was looking at getting a gamepad for my PC it seemed that the wired 360 pad was the way to go, with fewer issues and just working out of the box. Luckily for me I inherited my brother’s PS3, so hooking up the DS3 to my PC via USB and using the Motioninjoy drivers with BetterDS3 (yes I know how awful Motioninjoy is) was the method I used way back when and it’s served me since. I’d probably upgrade to a DS4 if I ever had to, and whilst the Xbox Elite Controller seems to be the premium choice for PC gamers (judging by review/opinion), I’m just used to the DS layout.
yeah it is the same one, I can tell because they dont number the buttons anymore. I bought it like 10 years ago, possibly longer than that. I also have the updated version as well. Yeah it could be the games we play.

Used to use the Logitech chillstream and it was amazing I can not understand why no one else makes a similar thing or why not all controllers comes with internal fans by default.
But since that one died I went and got the ordinary old boring xbox 360 controller everyone else has, which also died so I ended up with the xbone one that I’m currently breaking. The shoulder buttons were never quite reliably responsive and especially the right one has always been a little iffy. That’s block in DS3 and health potions in Dead Cells so that’s always fun when it doesn’t work immediately.

Has any Chronie ever used a steam controller, and if you have what’s your review on it?
I almost bought a steam controller but after seeing a couple YouTube reviews I decided to play it safe and go with a Xbox one controller.
I use a steam controller and thanks to it being fully configurable I use it in a lot of keyboard and mouse only games both on and off steam. It took some getting used to, especially the touch pads. I almost gave up on it at first and went back to my xbox 360 gamepad, but I’m glad that I was too stubborn to do so. 
Ugh, it was a lifesaver when my mouse broke suddenly and had to wait a couple of days for a replacement as well.
I use 6 wired xbox 360 controllers…
