I uhh, checked out the steam page as I’ve heard the name familiarly mentioned in twitch streams before, I’d say “check your countries laws” before saving that patch to your computer.
Because I don’t think the judge is gonna except “b-but they’re cats”.
I’m guessing you’ve seen the Clannad anime so I’m not sure if it’s worth it for you to play the VN, but Clannad’s probably the best romcom VN on steam, they did a lot of work to make the translation good too. Definitely the funniest VN I’ve played. Haven’t watched the anime so I don’t know how it compares, I’d be surprised if the comedy translates as well as the VN does it though.
Also, not a rom-com but if you ever want something different that goes beyond what most VNs do, loaded with depth and atmosphere, try The House in Fata Morgana. It made me cry more than any other VN or media (movies, games, books, etc.) that I’ve experienced. Doesn’t have voice acting, but the quality of the characters, writing, and soundtrack is so amazing that you probably won’t even care.
