Free-to-Play Games Thread

It’s one of those “clicker games” but you learn about animals so pretty cool.

Thanks @delenn13 :postal_horn:

… “animals”? What are those? Is that were people don’t go shopping, anti-Malls? :turkey:
(just teasing) :sheep:

Since the next Epic Games free game will be Cave Story +, It’d be interesting to post the original version here.

https://www.cavestory.org/download/cave-story.php - The original game is here, which’s pretty much a classic among indie games. It’s a side scroller platform game with hints of Metroidvania.

Below it’s one of its enhanced versions:

Reviving this thead with an old Zelda clone - Caiman free games: Guardian of Paradise by Buster / E.Hashimoto.

And the English patch - Aeon Genesis ~

This game brings back memories of my very first PC (an eMachines eOne) which allowed me to beat this game twice. IMO it’s a classic game on par with stuff like Cave Story.

Thanks @cacronia - That looks like an interesting fun game to play when you have a few minutes to kill. And it’s only 130MB to install, so easy to add. :sparkles: :dizzy: :sparkles:

It reminds me that the publisher of Cave Story+ was trying so hard to take this one down XD

Maybe. I recall playing something similar to SuperTuxKart…

Ugh no wonder people hate that developer.

I’ve played a much earlier version of SuperTuxKart on Linux. It was a long time ago though. It runs, but I have the same Deadzone issues with the thumbstick as I did with Most Wanted, in that I end up doing a lot of steering correction. I could use the Dpad but that feels weird, steering with that.
