alright so here are my personal experiences with “stuff”
Blizzard: Top notch, doubt i’ve encountered better service from anywhere else, the way they don’t mind bending over backwards for you sometimes is just applaudable
I’ve had dealings with them multiple times back when i played wow, when i wanted to return and have my acc reinstated, some issues with my SC account a couple of times. Everything sorted, fast, and courteous, really amazing at soothing my worries each time.
(i’ve sometimes wondered if they could/would even reinstate my account once again despite being deleted for so long this time lol)
Steam: even if support was slow back in the day, it was fairly nice, these days it seems like unless it’s a srs issue it’s so darn hard to get a “real” answer, even if they’ve gotten faster. But got all my major problems sorted all the time without much fuss, so not too bad
GoG: Superb, fast, helpful and courteous, +bonus points for not minding when making stupid/dumbass superfluous tickets
Chrono.gg can’t complaint, i was fairly brash when i got temporarily logged out of posting in my early giveaway, getting stressed and being less mild-mannered than i probably should have been . But Chrono took good care of me anyway and fixed it best they could so very fast.
Can’t put a bad finger on Chrono imo, you guys do your best and are very forthcoming, and if not by email, direct contact on the forum, just top service
Humble: Very nice, even if sometimes “unable” to help unfortunately, but guess there isn’t always much someone can do depending on how the whole system/keys are set up. Tho attempts to be very helpful when asking questions at least
Fanatical: Meh. While their store is good, depending on the issue they don’t really pay much attention to some stuff. Had some trouble logging in a couple of times (all addons disabled) which they didn’t care much about, or bother to toss a guess as to what could be, just had to to wait until the site would let me back in or allow me to purchase without disconnecting on checkout
Uplay/Ubisoft… i don’t deal with them much, think i’ve tried 2x maybe… Had an issue with Settlers 7, which they weren’t really helpful with, turned out it was a server or uplay thingy so nothing really could do but wait until things eventually got running again
Sony… , i’ve just had 1 dealing with them, and it wasn’t recommendable…
Basically lost my first account because of losing email access , and apparently they couldn’t do anything back then without me actually accessing my assigned email. Fortunately didn’t lose “anything” other than a few achievements from the few times i played connected. (thank fck games weren’t connected/“added” to account from discs)
^Microsoft on the other hand had no issue recovering my account and resetting my email so i could access my winlive again
Personal experience with EA… lost my bioware account when they merged it into origin, “Nothing they could do”(not really their fault i guess, diff email than my origin acc) -making me lose access to every dlc i had bought, and the already previously “used”/registered content/cd keys,
then again, i’m probably not likely to play ME2 anytime soon anyway…
Creative Assembly(Total War games)
, , yaiks… well i suppose with the disaster that was Rome 2 launch it probably shouldn’t be a surprise their support was utterly useless back then, and people/users were basically left to bug-test, troubleshoot and fix themselves, -then report “fixes” and leave people to pray it helped them too… fck me that was a shtshow back then
- as a final mention, i’d like to give 3cheers to an unknown hero at tech support for a game i can’t remember, some 6years ago:
most embarrassing ticket of my life.
basically whatever game i can’t remember made me foam around the mouth because of near 24/7 crashing and 125% glitches the momentary respite it ran in between crashes.
-Cause: 5+yo drivers , best ticket/dxdiag reply ever (that’ll remind me to remember to reinstall/update after a wipe lol)
