It would probably be a reasonably good idea. If discobot has a bias in the RNG and it would be used for the drawn numbers you would have a slight edge if your board was generated with the same bias.

I’m making an adjustment to the way the live drawing will be done. It was previously planned we would draw five (5) numbers at a time. As cards fill up, it’s more likely that multiple winners would hit on the same draw. This is

Instead of drawing a fixed amount numbers, we will draw 10% of the remaining balls. This affects pacing by removing some “rest” in the beginning (when there are less likely winners) and adding more “rest” in the later stages (when there are more likely winners). This is

As cards fill up, it’s more likely that multiple winners would hit on the same draw. This is

how the game was designed. Being the first to call Bingo is very much part of the victory condition.

@Fraggles real Bingo is drawn one (1) number at a time. We’re not doing that.

For the purposes of running bingo in a forum thread, the initial proposition was to draw five (5) numbers at a time. But since multiple numbers are revealed at once, it increases the probability that multiple players would score on the same reveal. This is not ideal. The proposed “10% fix” increases the draw speed up front and slows it down later, making in more like “real” bingo around the time people would begin to score.
